Rob Dotson

Rob Dotson is an Assistant Research Scientist in the Visual Neuroscience Laboratory in the Center for Neural Science at New York University. His software aids in the research of the low-level mechanics of vision in the mammalian brain, the mechanisms of information processing and memory, and the perception of beauty.

While he primarily focuses on his scientific research, Rob continues his decade-long web engineering and optimization consultancy. His clients have included large corporations including Apple Computer (UK) and the Baltimore Gas & Electric Company, municipalities like the states of New Jersey and Maryland, as well as national print and web publications such as The Daily Deal, The American Lawyer and The Industry Standard.

Educated at Brigham Young University and Columbia University, his certifications are extensive and diverse, encompassing Music Composition, Computer Engineering, IS/IT Systems Administration and Web/Database System Integration.

When he's not moonlighting designing websites and flyers, he's usually taking photos, collecting vinyl records or dancing to electronic music.
